Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (Interim)

Organisation: The Sporting Memories Foundation

Hours: 2.5 days per week

Salary: £35,000 FTE (£17,500 pro rata)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the World's first charity dedicated to the development of Sports Reminiscence & Physical Activities. Helping tackle Dementia, Depression & Loneliness, The Sporting Memories Foundation has developed a unique, proven approach to supporting former players and older fans alike.

The board of Trustees are now seeking to appoint The Foundation's first Chief Operating Officer (Interim) to lead the organisation into further measured and sustained growth. Working with a small core team, the postholder will be responsible for shaping, implementing and strengthening the organisation’s processes and infrastructure. The primary responsibility of this newly created role will be to manage all aspects of the governance of The Sporting Memories Foundation , projects delivered by The Foundation and implement a strategic approach to fundraising and sustainable income.

Title: Kent’s Sporting Memories Project Coordinator

Salary: £25,235 per annum Full Time Equivalent [based on 37.5 hour week] (pro rata for 21 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed Term for 24 months
Hours: 21 Hours per week
Employer: The Sporting Memories Foundation (Registered Charity No. 1154474)

Project Partnership: Kent County Council (KCC), Sporting Memories Foundation and Sporting Memories Network CIC, CARM (Caring All together on Romney Marsh).

Kent’s Sporting Memories project will support the establishment of a network of Sporting Memories groups in Folkestone and Hythe District and engage with older people (50+) living with Dementia, mental health and social issues through reminiscence of sports events and activities.

By sharing memories of sporting moments, however big or small, people are instantly connected, reawakening thoughts, feelings and times that would have otherwise been undiscovered all through a passion for sport. Groups will embrace the opportunity to share and record local sporting heritage, as well as undertake physical activities including bowls, table tennis and walking that everyone can take part in no matter what their age or condition.

Closing date: Midnight Sunday 18th November  Interview date: 7th December

Location: Working from a main base in Appledore at CARM offices with travel in and around the Folkestone and Hythe District. Some home working may be possible (travel expenses will be reimbursed but access to your own transport is essential).

This is a new role which has been made possible due to Heritage Lottery Funding.

Job Title: Active Ageing Project: Project Coordinator
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £25, 235 pa
Reporting to: Project Manager/Director
Location: Based at Lancashire Cricket Foundation, Emirates Old Trafford, Talbot Road, Manchester, M16 0PX
with regular travel around England (travel expenses will be reimbursed, access to your own transport is essential). The project is operates in the following target areas: Bristol, Greater London, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, the South West, Suffolk and Yorkshire and Humber.
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st October 2020.

Closing date: Midnight 13th November 2018

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 21st November in Manchester

Background information:

We are seeking a highly skilled project coordinator to ensure smooth and effective delivery of this groundbreaking project. Solid organisational skills, including multi-tasking and time-management, you must have experience of supervising staff in multiple locations and of multi-agency working. You will be able to work in a relatively unsupervised manner and will be responsible for organising your own workload and schedule. You will be numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
